It’s always great fun to shoot a wedding in Brixton. You just know your day is going to be high energy and awesome when you photograph in Brixton!
This Brixton Winter wedding was set on a bright December morning with the sun casting long shadows over the bustling heart of Brixton. Lambeth Register Office hosted the ceremony next to the iconic Town Hall overlooking Windrush Square. An ideal starting point for Brixton Weddings.
Unfortunately the Grooms mother couldn’t travel from NZ but with the power of Skype and a MacBook she didn’t miss a thing! After the civil ceremony we took advantage of the unseasonably warm sun for some group photos in front of the Brixton Ritzy. So far so good.
Then suddenly, several hundred people dressed as Father Christmas appeared from nowhere for a wedding photobomb! Pure Brixton magic! This is what makes Brixton Wedding Photography unique.
Next we headed across the square to Gremio de Brixton. A superb Tapas bar with candle lit lighting and exposed brick work beneath St Matthews Church. Stunning service and authentic Spanish Tapas. Not traditional but an outstanding Brixton Wedding venue.
Final and last stop was a huge marquee for the final wedding celebration with a couple of hundred guests. The culinary expedition continued with a Hog Roast, Ethiopean buffet and a whole Jamon Serrano washed down with some lush cocktails and Champagne. After Some emotional speeches and cutting the cake it was onto the dance floor for a serious Drum ‘n’ Bass session into the early hours.
Give me a Brixton Wedding any day!
