Lauren and Nick’s Grand Connaught Rooms wedding was an amazing spectacle. My first Jewish wedding, it was a visual treat and a whole lot of fun!
I headed down to London the day before. A bright and early start with Lauren and her bridesmaids getting ready kicked off my coverage of the day. As the name suggests, the Grand Connaught Rooms is a grand building, and complemented the action of the day perfectly.
After arriving in style, cheered on by his ushers, Nick and the men kicked off proceedings with the Tisch. Whiskey for all (my kind of wedding!) before the Rabbi read through the ketubah. Nick was then lead to an emotional badeken where he saw Lauren for the first time and lifted the veil onto her face . The beautiful ceremony followed. Nick and Lauren loved every minute of it, permanent smiles on their faces! Filled with dancing, emotion and love it was an amazing day.
In the evening, some top notch Israeli dancing started the party. Squeezing myself in amongst the hustle and bustle I documented the jumping, lifting skipping and dancing. The party that didn’t stop for a good few hours as the grand ballroom was bouncing with live music.
