Greenwich Park Wedding – London Weddings
This image was taken in late November in Greenwich Park. The orange and brown leaves were still on the trees giving a pleasant autumnal background. Although it wasn’t actually raining, the couple insisted on getting some use from their white umbrellas. Initially I wasn’t sure if the umbrellas would work compositionally, but I soon saw the potential of the symmetrical shapes. By placing the couple central to the path, with the bandstand in the background and the trees further back I feel the picture has a slightly oriental feel, with the bandstand perhaps representing a temple. There was no one else in frame, which adds to the impression of calm and solitude.
