Farzana first contacted me to shoot her Le Meridien Piccadilly Wedding in London literally a few weeks before the big day! This doesn’t happen very often as most brides tend to book us over a year in advance but I too am a last minute kind of chap so straight away we we’re on the same page. :)
Needless to say, I was super excited at the prospect of shooting down to the capital to be a part of their big day and this was my first time as a wedding photographer at Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel in London … I LOVE a new challenge, I LOVE Indian weddings, I LOVE urban weddings, and I LOVE shooting weddings for couples who are as crazy about awesome wedding photography as we are. :) This was shaping up to be a cracking shoot and I wasn’t disappointed.
The day started with bridal preps at the family home in Billericay in Essex where Farzana was being adorned in her traditional Indian dress and jewellery … she looked amazing! I could not wait to get her and Waheed on the streets of the capital for some cool portraits.
After a mad dash in to the city we finally arrived in Piccadilly Circus … it was time for some awesome wedding photography and this began with the hustle and bustle of the arrival of Waheed. Indian weddings are packed full of life, laughter, colour and energy … If I dive in the middle with my camera I’ll capture the story. :)
After the formalities and an awesome meal we hit the streets for some bride and groom portraits … these guys looked every inch the glamorous Indian couple, attracting hundreds of onlookers wherever we went. Fingers crossed it won’t be too long before I’m back in the capital to shoot more awesome weddings at the Le Meridien in Piccadilly Circus.
