It’s great to be a wedding photographer anyway, but when someone loves your work so much that they want you to jump on a plane and join them in one of the most romantic spots In Europe for their destination wedding in Sorrento on Italy’s incredible Amalfi coast, it’s like the cherry on the top of an already delicious cake!
I was Kate and David’s Sorrento wedding photographer as they were joined by around 20 of their closest family and friends for their Sorrento wedding at the breathtaking San Francesco cloisters and reception at Hotel Excelsior Vittoria. It was an amazing day for an amazing couple in an amazing location. I can see why couples from anywhere in the world would choose to have their wedding in Sorrento.
After their wedding ceremony they had drinks overlooking Mount Vesuvius before heading back over to the Excelsior Vittoria for an Italian wedding feast. On the way, we stopped in the gardens of the hotel for some Sorrento wedding photography portraits with their amazing little vintage Fiat 500. The sun shone brightly all day long and as it set, we headed down in the hotel’s private lift to get some photos of them with the sunset down by the sea.
It was an amazing experience to be Kate and David’s wedding photographer in Sorrento and I hope to go back and photograph more weddings in Italy the future as I totally fell in love with the place.
