One of my first weddings of 2016 was at a beautiful East Sussex wedding venue, in the quaint village of Alfriston. Laura & Matthew had chosen one of the village’s beautiful pubs to hold their wedding, and it was easy to see why they had fallen in love with the place; The George Inn is one of the oldest inns in Britain (first licensed in 1397!) with huge fire fireplaces, flagstone floors, wonky, walls, and low oak beamed ceilings. As cosy as your favourite woolly jumper and perfect for a winter wedding.
My day started with Laura getting ready and ended some 15 hours later with a lock in at the pub over the road. In between there was laughter, tears, toasted marshmallows, emotional speeches, some hectic dancing and a whole heap of fun.
A brilliant day with two impossibly lovely people. My first time as a George Inn wedding photographer, but hopefully not the last.
