I’ve shot a few Nottingham Wedding venues over the past couple of years, but this was the first time I’d shot a Thoresby Riding Hall wedding, and having done a bit of Google research beforehand, and also spending time chatting with Emma and Owen in the build up, I was very much looking forward to this one. It turned out to be a beautiful autumnal day, crisp and clear, it certainly didn’t feel like November! We had some gorgeous light in the afternoon for the portraits, and having spent some time with Emma and Owen on their engagement shoot, it was obvious to see how much they were looking forward to spending some quiet time together before the party kicked off.
Emma and Owen tied the knot at the stunning St Johns church in Perlethorpe before heading up to the adjacent grounds of Thoresby hall, a beautiful grade I listed 19th century country house in north Nottinghamshire. The reception was held in the riding hall, a beautiful barn set in the grounds of Thoresby Hall, and it’s clear to see why this is a popular Nottinghamshire wedding venue.
Ok, time to crack on with some images. These are my top picks as a Thoresby Riding hall wedding photographer, if you plan on getting married there, it’d be great to hear from you.
