This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Berkshire wedding venue, Wasing Park, and I’m so glad it happened to be for my old friend, Simon. It was many years ago, back in our University days (when I was President of Reading University Students Union no less!), when we first met, and though we hadn’t seen each other since then, he has managed to remain completely ageless! The same can be said for Kara, who looked absolutely fantastic on the day.
After a lengthy and varied search for their wedding venue, they settled on Wasing Park, which as a wedding photographer you can’t help but hear good things about it. Very happy to say that it completely lives up to its reputation – such a stunning location, and I’m so glad the weather held out so we could make full use of the gorgeous surroundings for the portraits later on in the day.
What a beautiful day it was in all – there’s always something a bit special when you actually know the people getting married – it meant so much to photograph the wedding of an old friend, and I couldn’t be happier for the both of them. Now, on with the Wasing Park wedding!
